“98% localisation will help Renault to price Kwid Competitively”
Renault Kwid is one of the most anticipated launches of this year. The design of Kwid is more of a “Crossover” rather than a hatchback. The front portions reminds of Duster. With high ground clearance & short overhangs, it looks tough & robust.
Kwid will be based on Renault’s new CMF-A platform, which will also underpin the upcoming Datsun cars. Coming to interiors, the quality of the materials look decent for this segment & the space utilisation is a highlight. It will be powered with 800cc, 3-cylinder engine which churns out about 57bhp of power. It will be coupled with both Manual & Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). After some time from launch, Kwid may be offered with a 1.0 L engine. This engine is also likely to be offered with AMT
Expected Price : Rs 3-4 lakhs
