|Datsun upcoming product RediGo|
If the upcoming crossover is based on Go+ MPV then it would be a 7 seater version. Basically, it will be Go+ MPV with some extra body claddings all around. If it is all new crossover then Datsun might utilize the CMF-A platform. Developing a crossover from the existing product will incur less costs compared to developing an all new product. So Datsun might prefer easy way here rather than spending on a whole new product.
It is expected that this crossover prototype will be showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. So one have to wait until the Auto Expo to get to see this crossover from Datsun. As Indian car buyers are becoming more safety conscious these days, Datsun should pull up their socks in providing more quality products unlike its previous Go line-up. We can say that they are in the right track as they have recently upgraded their Go hatchback and Go+ MPV with air bags.
