Maruti has launched Swift and Dzire with ABS and Airbags as option across all variants. By 2017 government of India will make ABS and Airbags as standard across all cars sold in India. Maruti is on track with the safety norms to meet the regulations in the future. No wonder why Maruti is ruling the Indian car industry as it has that perfect timing to bring what is required by the customer at that point of time.
Recently it launched WagonR and Stingray with ABS and Airbags as optional across all variants. Now it made safety pack optional for all variants of Swift and Swift Dzire. Company mentioned that the safety pack across all variants will help safety conscious people to choose those optional variants. Now the customers who want safety can buy a base variant with some extra price to have Airbags and ABS instead of opting for Top variants.
Swift and Swift Dzire have Airbags and ABS for only top ZXi and ZDi variants. But now LXi, LDi, VXi and VDi also get these Airbags and ABS as optional at an extra price ranging from INR 12,000 – INR 20,000. We all know swift and Swift Dzire has been one of the favourites for Indian car buyers. With the introduction of this optional safety pack, these vehicles are definitely going to attract more buyers.
We also expect other manufacturers to follow Maruti and launch optional safety pack for all the variants. Having Airbags and ABS for the cars is very much essential thing and should not be limited to those customers who buy Top variants. Because at the end of the day the value of the variant purchased may be different but the value of life is same.
