Recently several new Car launches happened in the Indian Auto Industry. Here we will present you what are all the new car launches in India till October 2015 that succeeded in creating an impact in the Industry.
1. Hyundai Creta :
Hyundai launched Creta in the end of July and it is a huge success in the market. It featured in Top 10 selling models since its inception. Hyundai once again proved how they can make better product compared to existing product in the market. They have brought down the sales of established vehicle Duster in the urban SUV segment. The car is selling at an average of 7,500 units every month which is not a normal achievement for a newly launched SUV.
They are also planning to increase production of Creta to around 9,000 to cater the need of growing customer demand.
2. Renault Kwid :
Renault Kwid is the new sensation in the Compact hatch segment. It is priced as low as Alto with starting price @ 2.57 lakhs. Main highlight for Kwid is the SUV inspired design that Renault had given to this vehicle. Renault is known in the Industry for taking bold steps. Initially they have launched Duster in the SUV segment which is first of its kind and now its Kwid in the hatchback segment. Kwid had a sales of around 5,195 units in the month of October
Renault has low manufacturing capacity otherwise sales would have crossed 10,000 units. Kwid can be given award of Indian Car of the Year 2015 for its huge Value for Money. we really have to appreciate Renault for the efforts they have put in bringing Kwid at such a less price with huge value embedded into it.
3. Mahindra TUV 3oo :
Mahindra TUV 3oo is another SUV in the lineup of Mahindra. It worked well for Mahindra with good sales in the first 2 months. It has a sales average of around 4,500 units. TUV3oo is appreciated for its tough looks and bold character. However, it still is a typical Mahindra SUV with its boxy looks. we have to wait for some more months to know whether TUV3oo has got that real stuff to maintain sales.
Interesting point to note here is that it dominated its rival Ecosport in terms of sales which is a good sign for Mahindra.
4. Honda Jazz :
Honda reintroduced Jazz in India. But this time Honda watched their step carefully without pricing it in the sky unlike the last time. They have given it good design along with good features. It gained good volumes with average sales of around 4,500 units. However, Jazz could not have a strong impact on segment leader Elite i20. The i20 still remain stable with sales ticking around 11,000 units (Elite i20+ i20 Active).
5. Maruti Baleno :
Maruti Suzuki had recently launched Baleno after the failure of their S-Cross. Baleno is successful with good amount of bookings under its name. It had a sales of 4,229 units in its first month. As said earlier in the case of Jazz, it could not dominate Elite i20 but gathered decent sales in its first month.
Baleno will be sold exclusively only through NEXA showrooms which might be a road block for its sales. There is possibility of increase in the prices of Baleno as it is priced very closely with Swift which may result in Cannibalization of sales.

6. Ford Figo and Ford Aspire :
Let me tell you an interesting story. Ford launched two products one is sedan and other is its hatchback version. It named them Aspire and Figo. What’s interesting is that both products are well ahead of other vehicles in their respective segments in terms of safety, Price competitiveness and they even got bigger engines below their hood.
Ford must thank god this time as the result is positive unlike their previous product, New Fiesta, which has been discontinued within a year of its launch. Both the models Figo and Aspire are bringing good sales for Ford with an average of 3,000 – 3,500 units.
So these are the new models which had found good number of homes in this festive season.
