The names of the three platforms are AMP (Advanced Modular Platform), Raptor and Harrier. Advanced Modular Platform is for developing a hatchback and notchback in India. They will stand in the Grand i10 and Xcent segments. Raptor will be used in developing low cost SUVs in India while the Harrier will be used in developing global SUVs which will be exported to other countries.
Looks like now Tata Motors is serious about selling passenger vehicles in India. They are working on new platforms for India. They have upscaled their investments in product developments by almost double in the last five years.
