General Motors has recalled diesel variants of Beat hatchback in India. The units manufactured between December 2010 and July 2014 were being recalled. The issue is with the Clutch pedal lever which might develop cracking on continuous usage.
The company will be notifying owners personally and they can take up their cars to any of the 248 GM service centres across India. The service will be done at free of cost. GM officials mentioned that quality and customer care are their highest priorities.
At present, GM is not doing well in India due to lack of competitive models. Even recently launched Trailblazer couldn’t bring any luck to their sales.
