Hyundai Creta Petrol AT will be coming this year. Yes, you heard it right. Hyundai is preparing a model year update for Creta and is expected to come in the month of April.
Hyundai Creta was launched in the month of July 2015 and has been quite a success crunching good volumes for the company. It was launched in 1.6-litre petrol, 1.4 & 1.6-litre diesel options. 1.6-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines are mated to 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.6-litre diesel is available in both 6MT and 6AT
In this model year update, Hyundai will introduce Automatic variant for Creta Petrol in the SX+ trim. Creta will be the first vehicle in the segment to get Petrol AT. This move from Hyundai can be considered profitable as there is a good demand for AT these days. In the case of Creta, Diesel AT has around 16% of share in the total vehicle sales. So, with the introduction of Creta Petrol AT there can be further rise in the sales.
Some of the other changes in the Model Year Update of Creta include Standard dual airbags and the diesel AT will be made available from mid variant.
So with the update Creta is going to get more safer and more convenient for city dwellers. Duster facelift is also expected to come early this year and Creta is now getting all ready to lock the horns against it.
