2016 Hyundai Tucson will be the next SUV offering from Hyundai after Creta. The success of Creta might catalysed them to bring Tucson to India. This SUV will be positioned between Creta and SantaFe in the line-up. The first generation Tucson was previously launched in India in 2005 but discontinued later due to poor demand. The second generation Tucson never made it to India. The one that is now showcased in Delhi Auto Expo is the third generation model. This third generation Tucson was first showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2015.

Exterior Styling :
The third generation Tucson looks quite appealing in its looks. It follows Hyundai 2.0 Fluidic design. It has got solid presence on the ground. Moreover, it looks like a more matured Creta. On the front it features the hexagonal grill that matches the design language of Hyundai. LED twin projector headlamps and LED accents improves its look further.
On the side it sports some sharp lines and sculpted wheel arches which gives it more aggressive looks. It rides on 19″ alloy wheels featuring an asymmetrical spoke design. On the rear it features skid plate, dual chrome exhaust tips and spoiler with HMSL. Overall the Tucson looks quite attractive.
Interior and Features :
The interiors of Tucson were not captured in the Auto show due to dark tint of the glasses. However, global spec of Tucson comes with high tech features both in terms of comfort and safety. Interiors come with general conventional layout of other Hyundai vehicles with extensive use of squidgy soft-touch plastics. Its high on quality and good in terms of design. You will find an 8″ touchscreen infotainment system and leather seats inside the Tucson. Other comfort features include Auto cruise control, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, smart powered tail gate, reclining rear seats etc.
Safety features include 6 Airbags, Advanced traction cornering control, Autonomous emergency brakingActive headrests, Electronic parking brake, Tyre pressure monitoring system etc. We hope many of these comfort and safety features might make a way for Indian spec Tucson too. Hyundai needs to provide good amount of comfort and safety features for Tucson to differentiate it from Creta.
