Maruti Alto has always been in the news for last 15 years, since its launch in September 2000. This time its more special as Alto has crossed the dream run of 30 lakhs sales in India. Since 2006, It is India’s largest selling car and crossed the 1 million production figure in February 2008 becoming the third Maruti model to cross the million mark in India after Maruti 800 and Maruti Omni. Besides the 3 million domestic sales, over 3.8 lakh Alto have been exported to over 70 countries with Srilanka, Algeria, Chile, UK and Netherlands being its top markets.
