Toyota Innova Crysta made its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February.The growing demand for the new Innova Crysta forced the brand to pre-pone the launch. Toyota is all set for the launch of the new generation Innova Crysta in the country in the last week of April 2016. Being built on a new ladder-frame chassis that has been redesigned, the new generation Innova Crysta boasts of mechanical and design modifications and moreover speaks for a better safety.
The new 2016 Innova is based on Toyota’s IMV (International Multi-purpose Vehicle) platform, which is lighter, stiffer and safer than the previous platform used in outgoing model. It is called as FIRM (Frame with Integrated Rigidity Mechanism), which improves front and side impact capability of the vehicle. It is the same platform which underpins the New Fortuner and Hilux Pick up truck.
The new 2016 Toyota Innova looks more stylish and appealing than the outgoing model. It received significant exterior updates and is more premium too. It shares the design cues from the New Camry, Corolla Altis, New Fortuner etc.As said by the CEO of Toyota, “No more ugly Toyota’s”, the New Innova is certainly not a ugly looking one.
Toyota Innova has always been a successful model since it’s first launch. Since it was among the first MPVs to be launched, it created a lot of interest in the automobile-savvy Indians. Also, the car was developed by the company in such a manner, so as to specifically fit for the Indian roads. As a result, the car was extremely successful in the industry.
